With a midlife wedding, there is real freedom to 'do it your way' and really have fun with the day.
It's a time when tradition can take a little step backwards and the focus can be entirely on celebrating
together with close family and friends. There is often no pressure to invite large numbers of guests,
and you are able to hold a really meaningful and intimate ceremony. That's not to say you don't want
to meet up with further family and friends later for a celebration of your marriage, and there are many
options nearby, should you choose to extend your day. Some couples decide to have a purely day time event,
holding speeches, and enjoying the stunning scenery, with their refreshments.
There are lots of options to make the day really personal, such as having an older child walk the bride into the ceremony, or having a younger child or grandchild as a ring bearer. Many of our couples book live music for the afternoon, which can really set the tone and relax the guests. We enjoy working with your ideas for how you would like your day to take shape, and will offer support and advice every step of the way.
Guests arriving at Craigmar are always blown away by the setting and want to know the history of our Palladian Villa, hidden away in the Yorkshire Dales. We work hard to ensure that your guests are well looked after and able to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the day. So, if you are looking for a beautiful venue where you can add those little personal touches, then please contact us to arrange a visit.
